BAAAAA!

ONLY THE KING JAMES BIBLE shows that a male lamb will not bleat at its shearing, although a female lamb will. The word has been altered in the NKJV, et al, because whoever meddled with it thought there was a contradiction. He obviously had never been a shepherd.

KJV Acts 8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before HIS shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

By replacing "his" with "its/the", the following versions commit a FACTUAL ERROR. A female lamb WILL bleat before her shearer. Therefore the statement that "a lamb before its shearer is silent" is FALSE.

(NIV) Acts 8:32 The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as A LAMB before THE shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

(NASB) Acts 8:32 Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this: HE WAS LED AS A SHEEP TO SLAUGHTER; AND AS *A* LAMB BEFORE *ITS* SHEARER IS SILENT, SO HE DOES NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH.

(NLT) Acts 8:32 The passage of Scripture he had been reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. And as A LAMB is silent before THE shearers, he did not open his mouth.

(NKJV) Acts 8:32 The place in the Scripture which he read was this: "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as A LAMB before ITS shearer is silent, So He opened not His mouth.

(RSV) Acts 8:32 Now the passage of the scripture which he was reading was this: "As A SHEEP led to the slaughter or A LAMB before ITS shearer is dumb, so he opens not his mouth.
